Dear friends, How wonderful to feel the warm sun on our faces again, and to see the Spring flowers and greenery! I have lots of great news for April 2018!

This week, I welcome to NYC two very talented brothers, Alfonso and Gino Tramontana, from Rome, Italy, otherwise known as ‘Bardamu.’ Alfonso is a talented songwriter, pianist, singer and arranger, a cross between Leonard Cohen and Charles Aznavour (IMHO!) and Gino is an innovative percussionist, who mixes Latin Rhythms with hip-hop and rap in a brand new style. The brothers spent 6 years in Cuba and recorded and played with some of the great musicians there, while absorbing the beautiful sounds and rhythms of Cuban music.

We have 3 gigs in the next two weeks, and we hope you can catch us! We will be presenting a mixture of Bardamu originals, jazz standards and more, with Cuban grooves. Joining our ensemble on the bandstand will be 3 time Grammy nominated trombonist/arranger Pete McGuinness, and renowned recording artist, bassist Leo Traversa.

Friday, April 6: Minton’s Playhouse, in NYC: two sets: 7:30 + 9:30

Friday, April 13: Trumpet’s Jazz Club in Montclair, NJ: 8 PM – 11 PM

Saturday, April 14: Eleven Clinton, in Newark, NJ: 7:30 PM – 11:30 PM

Please check out Seton Hawkins finely crafted piece about me in April’s Hot House, in his ‘Hot Flashes’ column on Page 27, entitled, ‘Musician-Producer’s Corner: Amy London’

I will also be joining gifted pianist and composer Bob Lepley at Grasso’s in Long Island, on Monday, April 23.

Bardamu and I would love to see you in the next two weeks!
