Dear friends – Welcome to summer 2025! We are living in such challenging and tumultuous times, and we must remember that music is a force that unifies all people, regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation. I am proud to be a lifelong member of the global jazz community, and honored to spend my life singing and teaching this beautiful, deep, important and all inclusive music. Jazz is America’s own music, born from the multitude of immigrants that continue to contribute to it.
AMY LONDON SINGS: I am thrilled to continue my 4 year long residency at the fun and fabulous Swing 46 on Restaurant Row in NYC. This club is a gem amongst all of the jazz clubs in Manhattan, where you can hear world renowned jazz musicians six nights a week, two shows a night: Cocktail/Mocktail hour 5:30 to 8:30 PM, and Swing Dance Bands 9 PM to Midnight. I am delighted to sing with jazz masters Saxophonist Mike Hashim, Guitarist Mark McCarron, Pianist Janice Friedman, Bassist Ralph Hamperian, and Drummer Steve Little on a regular basis. We have such a great time, please join us! We will be there Sundays, June 22 and 29, 5:30 to 8:30 PM. swing46nyc.com
I am also delighted to sing with the brilliant trumpeter/flugelhornist Ron Horton at Lydia’s Cafe, in Stone Ridge NY, on Saturday, June 28, 7:00 to 10:00 PM, along with wonderful players, Pianist Tim Regussis, Bassist, Lew Scott and Drummer/Vocalist Tony Jefferson. The food there is excellent as well, and it is located in a gorgeous, bucolic spot in Ulster County. lydias-cafe.com
MILFORD JAZZ FESTIVAL 2025: After the successful launch last summer of the 2024 Milford Jazz Festival, as well as the Winter 2024/Spring 2025 Jazz Sessions series, each event sold out, I continue my role as curator and performer at the 2025 Milford Jazz Festival. From Friday, July 11 through Sunday July 13, there will be exciting jazz shows throughout beautiful and historic Milford, PA, where patrons can stay at one of the historic inns, dine on exquisite cuisine and walk to every musical event. The main feature of this year’s festival will be two spectacular pianists: the legendary, Grammy nominated pianist Bill Mays will be playing at The Delmonico Room at Hotel Fauchere, on Saturday, July 12, from 7 to 10 PM, with bassist Dean Johnson, and the up and coming young pianist, Esteban Castro will present his trio at The Varsity Room at Tom Quick Inn, on Friday, July 11, 7 to 9:30 PM. Also performing throughout the festival will be the brilliant NYC duo of saxophonist Mike Hashim and guitarist Mark McCarron, CocoMama, plus local PA jazz stars Nancy and Spencer Reed, Skip Wilkins, and Butch Campbell, with whom I will sing. Included are several free outdoor events as well. Please check milfordjazz.com for schedule, tickets and links to the luxurious historic Inns for lodging and dining. milfordjazzfestival.com
ROYAL BOPSTERS: My vocal jazz quartet, The Royal Bopsters, has two very exciting shows coming up. We will be performing in the Peak Jazz Series at Caffe Lena, in Saratoga Springs, NY, on Thursday, June 26, right before the launch of the 2025 Saratoga Jazz Festival. Sets are at 7 and 9 PM. Sadly, we lost our former tenor, the amazing entertainer Danny Bacher, who suddenly passed away in December, 2024. We will always miss and love Danny. The show must go on, as Danny would say, so we welcome our fabulous new tenor, Tomas Cruz, joining me, soprano, Jeanne O’Connor, alto and Dylan Pramuk, bass. caffelenena.org. We will also be performing at the fun and intimate Pangea to celebrate my birthday (there will be cake!) on October 15, 2025, in New York City, one set 7 to 8:30 PM. pangeanyc.com
We are currently working on material for our third album, which we hope to record and release in 2026. Our first two CD’s, The Royal Bopsters Project and Party of Four, both on the Motema label, received high accolades across the board, 41/2 stars from Downbeat, Best Vocal Jazz Group 2021 from JazzTimes and more. We continue to be heard on streaming platforms and global radio. royalbopsters.com
JAZZ EDUCATION: I am honored to be invited back to all three jazz camps from previous years. I will be teaching amongst the renowned faculty at Tritone Jazz Camp, located on the beautiful campus of Nazareth Unniversity, in Rochester, NY, June 16 – 20. tritonejazz.com
From August 4 – 8, I will return to the gorgeous Vermont Jazz Center Summer Jazz Workshop, with a fantastic faculty, in Putney, Vermont. vtjazz.org
I will again join the amazing superstars of the Canadian jazz scene at JazzWorks Canada Jazz Camp, from August 25 – 28, near the magnificent Mont Tremblanc, Quebec at Lake MacDonald. jazzworkscanada.com
I am always thrilled and honored to work with jazz campers from around the world. We work hard and have a lot of fun at jazz camp! My goal for each and every camper is to go back home with a little more knowledge and a deep and satisfying musical experience.
Stay healthy and safe everyone. Viva le Jazz! xoxoxAmy
